Bill Malinchak: Greatest Punt Blocker in Redskins History

Bill Malinchak: Greatest Punt Blocker in Redskins History

In this episode of "Burgundy & Gold Flashback," host Mike Richman interviews the greatest punt blocker in Redskins history,  Bill Malinchak. Malinchak played six seasons for the Redskins in the 1970s, blocking four punts.  With the Redskins' 2014 season-opener just days away, part of the interview focused on Malinchak's stellar performance in the Redskins' 24-21 win over the Vikings in the 1972 season-opening game.  That day, he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown, and recovered a fumble on a kickoff that the Redskins converted into a TD.  He called that game the greatest individual performance in his career.
