THE AUTHOR

Michael Richman is a veteran journalist who has covered sports for more than two decades. His articles on Redskins nostalgia have appeared in Sports Illustrated magazine and Redskins team media outlets (Redskins.com & the Redskins GameDay magazine). He has contributed to many other publications such as American Football Monthly, Investor's Business Daily, The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun. The Pro Football Researchers Association has recognized him with an award for feature writing. He is currently the co-host of the "DC Sports Blitz," a sports talk show that airs on ESPN 840 in Charlottesville, VA. Michael Richman holds degrees from the University of Maryland (B.A. Political Science; B.S. Journalism), American University (M.A. Journalism & Public Affairs) and Temple University (M.A. Education with a concentration in sports management). He works at the Voice of America in Washington, D.C.
